Open to receive

It’s Finding Me Friday. After cocooning for most of the year, I’m starting to dip my toes back in the art world. Last Friday, I took a field trip with one of my artist friends to the Seattle Art Fair. Galleries from around the world were present showing work from artists across the globe. Several local art galleries were onsite as well representing local artists. A special shout out to my friend and renowned glass artist, Manolo Aguilera, who made his Seattle Art Fair debut with Vetri | Art Gallery.

The inspiration from seeing hundreds of other artists bravely sharing their stories nudged me to venture out to find my next opportunities. There is enormous vulnerability that comes with offering your work for peer review, hoping they’ll see something that excites them enough to say yes; but I’m going to give it a go and trust the Universe has a plan.

In that spirit, I’m sharing my favorite daily mantra with you today. If it feels good, try it out. You can add what you’re ready to receive on the end to make your request of the Universe specific:

• I am open and ready to receive joy.

• I am open and ready to receive good health.

• I am open and ready to receive abundance.

• I am open and ready to receive a new job offer.

• I am open and ready to receive love.

• I am open and ready to receive my dream house.

• I am open and ready to receive entrance into a juried art show.

• I am open and ready to receive peace.
