Courage is Contagious

It’s Finding Me Friday. This week I met a young emerging artist hanging her first solo show. She is a person with autism who chooses to lead with her abilities not her medical diagnosis. If you know anything about me and my family, we get it.

Her work explores flow, and what it means to maintain your flow when people understand you and when they don’t, especially as an artist with something to say. She is full of courage, and her courage is contagious, inspiring me to rethink how I’ve been approaching my work, and frankly, my life lately.

I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again - artists are needed now more than ever. When we create with courage, others see that it’s ok to be brave, and begin to use their voices for good, too.

Keep creating.
