The next step that feels good
It’s Finding Me Friday. Lately I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. With so much happening in our lived experience right now, it’s hard to know which way to look, what to listen to, or how to manage the big emotions most of us are feeling.
I’m so grateful that I have my art practice to dive into on these days where my entire nervous system is short circuiting. One of the reasons I’m drawn to the intuitive art process is its freedom to process emotions through a practice of presence, allowing what needs to be expressed and released to emerge, by taking the next step that feels good.
A friend reminded me yesterday that feeling good is a form of resistance. So, my friends, I hope you give yourself permission to lean into taking the next step that feels good, whether it be in your work, family, community, or art practice.
Keep creating.
