This was my second creation while healing from Covid early in 2024. Not much was helping me feel better other than a lot of rest and popsicles. In the brief moments where I had energy to spare, all I wanted to do was be in my studio creating. I pulled out two canvases and little by little made progress over several weeks. The first canvas (And Still I Rise) emerged fairly quickly, as did this piece, which found me using a mix of earthy colors, along with charcoal and oil pastel, with carved-in texture, that felt rooted and comforting. A uniquely stunning original for a larger living room/great room, focal wall, holistic medical clinic, or vacation property.
